At Des Arc Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, strong leadership sets the tone for quality care, compassion, and community. One leader who embodies these values is Taylor Washington, the facility’s administrator, whose journey from an administrator-in-training to an influential leader is both inspiring and deeply personal.
Taylor’s passion for caring for older adults comes from her upbringing. Raised by her grandmother, she experienced firsthand the importance of compassion, dignity, and family in elder care. These early lessons shaped her career and instilled a lifelong dedication to improving the lives of seniors.
Taylor’s professional path began through the Administrator in Training (AIT) program, connected to her graduate studies at UAMS. From those early days, she demonstrated a natural ability to lead with empathy, learn quickly, and support both residents and staff. Her commitment and talent paved the way for her current role as administrator at Des Arc Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Today, Taylor continues to make a meaningful difference in long-term care across Arkansas. At Des Arc, she blends operational excellence with heartfelt care. Residents, families, and staff alike feel the impact of her leadership every day—from creating a supportive workplace to ensuring residents receive person-centered, high-quality care.
Taylor’s journey highlights the power of passion, mentorship, and dedication. Her story demonstrates how one person’s heart for care can positively shape the lives of many.
We are proud to have Taylor Washington leading Des Arc Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and are grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of residents, families, and staff across Arkansas.
